Recorded over the squelching summer of '11 in the murky swamp, Hype Multiplier is the first and foremost piece of work by the Boulder, Colorado group The Strangeloves. The roughness of the composition is jolting yet the melodies are stirring. No bass lines were ever written, but the "bassist" showed up on recording day and promptly started slapping and stomping. The entire piece was recorded on a "rock-band" microphone with one take and one track. Lo-my!
